Catarina Hebbard - Director Romeo and Juliet

Catarina Hebbard graduated from QUT in 1988 and since then has been working in Brisbane and throughout Qld as an Actor, Director, Writer, Producer, Teacher and Voice-over artist.

Her recent theatre credits include: Private Lives (Starlight Theatre Co-op), Bronte (Assistant Director – Three Sisters productions), Critters (Director/Writer – Out of the Box/Qld Museum 2008 ), Dying for it (23rd Productions), Inmates (Emerge), ZigZag Street (Assistant Director- BAT), The Laramie Project (Forward movement/Springboard), The Christmas Panto, Alice and Two Weeks with the Queen (Harvest Rain), This Way Up (Assistant Director/Producer: Theatre ANYPLACE), Speaking in Tongues (BAT), Goodbye Mrs Blore (Theatre ANYPLACE), It's My Party and I'll Die if I Want To (Offhand Productions), The Return (Underground), Stepping Out and Comedy Tonight (Mixed Company), T-I-E shows: What Goes Around and Gas! (PEEC & EPA & BCC), Round the Bend and The Keepers Dream (KITE & PEEC).

Film & TV credits include, Girl Clock (feature film due for release in 2009), K9 (TV series), plus various short films, TV Commercials and Voice-overs including a weekly breakfast show.

She is currently working as Assistant Director on Caucasian Chalk Circle for Harvest Rain; her next project will be as a performer/Auslan interpreter in Miracle Worker with Crossbow productions and later this year Catarina will be Assistant Director and Tour Manager for the 4MBS tour of Amadeus.

Catarina is very excited to be involved in directing Romeo & Juliet scenes for Italian week being of Italian heritage herself.
