Tim Dashwood - Romeo

Tim started 2009 in a production of The Awfully Big Adventures of Peter Pan with Harvest Rain Theatre Company.


Since then he has worked on a script development of a new musical: Suddenly Single by Paul Dellit and Peter Penne at QPAC and most recently with Queensland Theatre Company's education program on Brecht's The Exception and The Rule.

At the end of the year he is looking forward to playing Romeo in the 4mbs production of Romeo & Juliet.

He worked for most of 2008 for the Queensland Theatre Company as one of their Emerging Artists, performing in their mainstage plays: The Importance of Being Earnest and Rabbithole and also with the company when it hosted the National Play Writers' Festival in February, as well as the readings for the Queensland Premier's Drama Award.

He worked with the 4mbs Players in their production of Much Ado About Nothing as Claudio. Since graduating from the University of Southern Queensland in 2005, Tim has played the title role in The Year Nick McGowan Came to Stay (La Boite Theatre Company) as well as performing in The Reunion, Love Song Dedications and Donna's Party (Metro Arts).

He has toured regional Queensland in idotluvdotu and Hermes and the Naked Flame with the Queensland Arts Council.

His short film credits include: Cowboys, Stars & Angels, Cravings, Stolen Honour and Tunnel Vision (QPIX - for which he won the QNFA Best Actor Award), Myles West (48 hr Short Film Festival – for which he won Best Actor) and Tightrope (RACQ/Qld Police).

He is an active member of the Society of Australian Fight Directors Inc. as current Vice-President and is a proud member of Equity.
