Niki-J has performed with Queensland Theatre Company in Puss in Boots, We Were Dancing, A Christmas Carol, and the Young Playwrights Awards.Niki-J also worked as Fight Director/Movement Consultant for That Face, Maxine Mellors Mystery Project, The Importance of Being Earnest and Education performances Beckett x 3, Ruby Moon, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Orphanage Project. Niki-J trained at Mountview Theatre School (London), Coleg Powys (Wales) and the British Academy of Dramatic Combat to become an accomplished actor, singer and stage combat instructor and is currently the Society of Australian Fight Directors only female fight director.
Niki-J has taught and choreographed internationally and has fight directed for companies including La Boite, Opera Queensland, QPAC, Grin & Tonic, Queensland Shakespeare Festival, Debase, QUT and USQ.
Niki-J is resident Fight Director for QTC and Grin & Tonic and was recently associate director with Bille Brown on Moliere’s The Hypochondriac at QUT.
The rest of 2009 has seen N-J perform in The Passion with aSpire, a tour of Café Floriani - a commedia show with Lightwire, will be touring Amadeus with 4MBS Classic Players and Romeo & Juliet for the Bulimba Shakespeare Festival.
